Another reason to hate Duke

Nothing personal, Shah family, but seriously.

Damn. You know what Marquette gave out to us as freshmen? I little grab-baggy thing that had a mini toothbrush, mini toothpaste, a pocket prayer book, and a firey sermon against pre-marital sex. I want my money back.

Yeah, so are you guys really down with The Lord? Do you have to be down with The Lord in order to go to Baylor? Is Baylor the right school I'm thinking of? With the Christ and the God and the Be Saved or Die? Which is the school where you can't dance, sing, drink, or touch a person of the opposite sex?

Gotcha. Interesting. I'm glad you all chose the burn-in-hell route -- I chose that a long time ago, and have been a much happier person.

Yeah, Indigo, Cindy and I were all victims of the "I'm going to try and save you" routine many a time. So annoying.

Not to mention this fun nugget in the official student handbook: In all disciplinary procedures, Baylor University will seek to be redemptive in the lives of the individuals involved and to witness to the high moral standards of the Christian faith. Baylor will be guided by the understanding that human sexuality is a gift from the creator God and that the purposes of this gift includes (1) the procreation of human life and (2) the uniting and strengthening of the marital bond in self-giving love. These purposes are to be achieved through heterosexual relationships within marriage. Misuses of God's gift will be understood to include, but not be limited to, sexual abuse, sexual harassment, sexual assault, incest, adultery, fornication and homosexual acts. (emphasis added)

Cut Dukies some slack. Not that I am one or am at all interested in their plight, but let's face it, after $50k tuition, tossing them a $400 mp3 player isn't much of a dividend, is it? Frankly, I think this is all just branding.
